If I could describe LORAC Highlighters and Blushes in one word it would be creamy! For the movie launch, LORAC teamed up with Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Men Tell No Tales for the fifth installment of their series to create a limited edition eyeshadow palette and a cheek palette. Let me tell you, this cheek palette is the stand out from the collection and a must-have! We need to take a moment for this packaging! The gold detailing and 3D raised up patterns make it special. The fact that it looks like a little book is awesome and I find myself not wanting to throw out the outer box!
The formula is paraben free which I truly appreciate and all the shades are infused with pomegranate, acai and Vitamin A, C and E! I love when brands add skin benefiting ingredients into their formulas. I think that is going to be a huge trend for 2018.
I have been wearing these all week and I love them. The highlighter shades (Fortune, Destined and Star Reader) are beautiful and range from a pearly white to a peachy shimmer to a yellow gold. They all look really reflective on the cheeks but there is no noticeable glitter and they almost melt into your skin. The blushes (Lost Soul, Caribbean, Bold Spirit) are so buttery smooth and insanely pigmented.
I find that I actually have to be careful when I tap my brush in because I go overboard (no pun intended! hehe) My favorite has to be Lost Soul, a light beige with some subtle shimmer for a more sunkissed cheek. You can also mix these together and create a custom shade or use Bold Spirit as a blush topper!
I am wowed by LORAC's silky formula. Also the price tag is unbeatable - $30 for 6 pigmented, gorgeous highlighters and blushes! It's a shame that this palette is limited edition - make sure you scoop it up before it's gone!
