Too Faced Christmas in New York: Merry Macarons Palette

I must admit, I get all the heart eyes for holiday makeup releases! Today I am sharing with you one of the Too Faced 2016 Holiday releases.  This is the Christmas in New York Merry Macarons Palette and it's exclusive to ULTA stores.  I really thought I was going to pick up the Grande Hotel Cafe with the Peppermint Mocha, Gingerbread and Eggnog scented palettes but I feel like this one is all those wrapped into one and at a great price point! You get 12 shades and the palette retails for $36.  A big shout out to my lovely sister-in-law Lauren for gifting this to me!!

Too Faced always comes through with the most adorable presentations. The packaging comes in a pink cardboard box that when opened up, reveals a New York scene with ice skating cardboard cut outs, Too Faced Better Than Sex Mini (I think I have enough of these minis to make 2 full sized!) and a spot for the palette! LOVE this whole set up, it's a great keepsake to display and just makes me feel warm and fuzzy for the holidays!

There are 5 mattes and 7 shimmer shades! I love the variety of neutrals, transitions, metallics and a fun pop of color! It's so easy to take your look from day to night. It's also scented like vanilla which I just adore.  The scent is definitely not as strong as the chocolate bar. With those, I instantly smell the chocolate-y goodness right as I lift it open, not so much with the Merry Macarons Palette. 

Close up of the shades - this palette is just stunning and it makes me happy when I open it! 

Bottom to top:

Coconut: A nice matte, bone shade to highlight or all over the lid wash

Dulce de Leche: Matte caramel brown

Banana Cream: Beautiful golden metallic medium brown

Almond mocha: Cool dark brown

Bottom to top:

Champagne Rose: Golden metallic pink.  Guys.  This shade is BEYOND beautiful! It's the perfect highlighter for your face - it looks especially nice as a nose highlighter.   Also amazing all over the lid.  I am definitely going to hit pan on this one.  

Mint Chocolate: This one was a little bit chalky and lighter but a nice crease shade. Matte dusty purple. 

Tiramisu: Matte light caramel shade. Not too pigmented.

Chocolate Raspberry: Deep purple/amethyst shimmer

Praline - Metallic golden shimmer, super soft and buttery

Honey Lavendar - I adore this shade! It's a shimmery silver/purple.

Violet Cassis - This reminds me a ton of MAC Stars and Rockets which has always been one of my favorite colors.  Purple shimmer with blue reflects! 

Cookies & Cream - Too Faced knocked it out with this one! This is one of THE most pigmented black shades I have ever tried.  I swatched it and I was literally shook.  I have been seeing some DUDS lately.  Also has a rockin' shimmer.  

Overall, I really love this palette and I think it's one of the best holiday products out for 2016.  I think it's a great intro if you have never tried Too Faced products before or you're just getting into makeup and want a variety of color options.  This would make a lovely gift for friends, family, coworkers, you name it! I am going to be using this beauty even after the holidays are over.   Don't miss out!
